"Art... in the form of photography.
Working together, sharing ideas, fueling
each other with inspiration is the most
exciting and rewarding thing we can do. As
artists, it is our ultimate goal to share
ourselves with others and have a lasting
impact upon the people we touch. Photography
is our love and passion. It is something
that we live, dream, talk, study...it is
indeed our passion. Cameras are always at
our side...we are always looking. Each roll
of film is like a present, waiting to be
opened. It offers us the opportunity to
play, record, and discover."
William and Mary, both photographers and
both holding the prestigious Master of
Photography Degree from the Professional
Photographers of America, are in total
control of the images they create. Together,
they edit each photograph deciding from
there if the photograph meets their
standards. Most of the time they agree, but
once in a while they disagree. When that
happens, they put the photo aside and review
it at a later date. Mary cuts the mats and
William frames the photographs. The ultimate
product ending up in their booth is a mutual
collaboration.
Their supply of cameras include: large
format, medium format, and 35mm. They seek
out colorful and unusual scenes to capture
and depending on the lighting situation, the
location, and the specific subject matter
will determine which film they use. The
negatives are printed by an outside lab and
each print has their approval before it is
printed for display, making dire the color,
cropping, and density are all correct.
"Our subject matter comes from our love of
people, flowers, architectural design, and
most of all visual impact."
